EDISTO BELLES - BREAST HEALTH SUPPORT AND ADVOCACY
We have Lots of Fun Celebrating Life as we focus on
Breast Health Awareness NOT Breast Cancer!
Our mission as survivors/advocates is to offer support and heighten
awareness as we navigate through the process which a breast cancer diagnosis presents. Through support to each other and sharing our experiences, we hope to encourage others through their journey and in the process assist in effecting a cure so that breast cancer can be eradicated. Our name relates to the "Ringing of the Bell" at end of
treatment, therefore our motto is "Til the Bell is No Longer Needed."
Our numbers have grown primarily due to early detection and heightened awareness. More are heeding the warning and becoming
more pro-active through screening which enables them to have a greater chance of survival. Early screening saves lives!
One in Eight Women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their
lifetime!
We have been blessed with a number of folks on Edisto and beyond who
have contributed to our cause. We invite anyone who is interested to
get onboard with us,as someone who believes in our mission and wants
to assist our neighbors. If you would like us to share information with you or your group you may contact us via this website edistobelles.com
We are non-profit and are affiliated with South Carolina Cancer Alliance
